Wellbeing tips for trainee teachers

We know that teaching is an incredibly rewarding profession, but we also recognise that it can be demanding, fast-paced, and, at times, stressful. As we mark Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to take a moment to highlight the importance of looking after our mental wellbeing, especially for our trainees who are just starting out in their teaching careers.

We understand that our trainees are juggling a lot, from lesson planning and placements to assignments and adapting to the realities of life in the classroom.

Take a look at the resources below providing practical tips, ideas and resources to help create that work-life balance that is so important.

For our current trainees there’s also lots of resources available on the NML SCITT intranet

These resources are here to help stay well, and thrive both personally and professionally.
